An easy 4 step system.

I subscribe to an absurd amount of email newsletters. And without a system to organize them, my inbox would look like a digital landfill.

This is my system for handling newsletters in Gmail. 4 Steps for a cleaner inbox.

  1. Create an alias email address like example: yourname+news@gmail.com You can use your existing address by simply adding +news.
  2. Unsubscribe from all newsletters and sign up using your new address.
  3. Create a new label in Gmail called *News*
  4. Create a filter sending all emails going to your +news address to your *News* folder and make sure to tick *skip the inbox*

And that’s the system. Now all of your newsletters are in one tidy folder and out of your inbox. Simple email management.

I hope this was helpful.
