There are things you can do to attract certain things into your life. Like staying in shape and dressing well to help attract a romantic partner versus looking like a slob and repelling every misfortunate human that comes within eyesight.

I also think mindset plays a huge role. Things like scarcity thinking, fear, distractions, and lack of clarity work to sabotage success. All things we can eliminate.

One of the easiest ways to achieve success is to change your way of thinking and make success come to you.

So grab a cold drink and let’s dive in. Here are 6 tips for attracting success and making things happen.

Visualize Success

The first step in attracting success is to get clarity.

You need to figure out what you want. It could be to lose 10 pounds, land a new job, or start working from home. The point is, you need to be clear and specific in your vision of success.

Now visualize what your new success is going to look like.

Pay close attention to how it makes you feel.

Perhaps it makes you feel more secure or less stressed. The feelings that you experience when you visualize your future self are what’s important.

Visualize your success a few times a day. Think about it deeply and get familiar with how it makes you feel. Practice having those feelings.

This step is important because if you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll never get there. You can always change or tweak your vision when needed. The main thing is to try and keep it in mind.

Think Abundance

Get rid of scarcity thinking and negative thoughts. Start thinking with an abundance mindset. Instead of having thoughts like, I don’t have enough money, I’m too busy, or there is too much competition, start thinking differently.

Abundance thoughts would be:

  • There’s plenty of money to go around.
  • I can make plenty of time.
  • I will always have as much money as I need.
  • There’s a lot of competition but I will still get my slice of the pie.
  • The possibilities are limitless.
  • My chances for success are excellent.

By thinking positively we create opportunities for ourselves. We open ourselves up to possibilities because we believe anything is possible.

It’s that simple.

If you want success to come to you, you need to banish the negative thoughts that are sabotaging you.

Be Your Future Self

Practice being your future successful self. This is kind of like the fake it til you make it thing.

Start acting and feeling like you’ve made it to where you would like to be.

Nothing attracts success like success.

So simply be successful.

You can start by being grateful for what you have already achieved.

The chances are, you already have some unique accomplishments under your belt. Think abundantly about what you have already done with your life and build on it.

Remember the feelings you have when you’re visualizing your future success and practice feeling that way.

If you want to make a million dollars, start acting, feeling, and thinking like a millionaire.

Banish Fear

Now it’s time to get rid of fear. Fear of failure. Fear of what others think. Even fear of success hinders our ability to attract what we want.

You’re never going to hit a home run if you’re afraid to step up to the plate. Yes, you may strike out, and yes you may make a fool of yourself however, being afraid is a pointless waste.

You need to create the opportunity for attracting success by showing up regardless of fear.

In my case, whenever fear creeps into my mind I use a few simple affirmations to get rid of it.

I stop and think about what I’m afraid of and then ask/tell myself the following.

  • What’s the worst that will happen?
  • Who cares what other people think?
  • Failure is not an option.
  • I will keep trying until I am successful.
  • If one person can do it then so can I.

For me, my biggest fear is regretting things I didn’t do later in life.

You should be more afraid of not taking risks than trying and failing.

Eliminate Distractions

Stop working on projects and doing things that don’t align with your future vision of success. This is part of being your future self.

For example, If you want to be a millionaire, you shouldn’t be spending money foolishly. Most people who have accumulated any sort of wealth are financially responsible.

Or, if you want to be a writer, you shouldn’t be getting distracted with bullshit household chores instead of sitting down to write, Barry.

Eliminate the things that aren’t moving you closer to your goals. When you start focusing on the important things that align with your vision you attract success.

If your future self wouldn’t spend the day lying on the couch watching TV then stop watching TV. If your vision doesn’t include putting up with bullshit from other people then stop putting up with it.

Focus on the things that are going to move you toward your vision and start attracting success.

Get Working

I saved the most important tip for last. If you want to attract success, you need to get to work.

Start working towards your future vision.

Do the hard stuff, do the dirty work, and complete the painful tasks.

There’s no glory in it and no one’s going to throw you a parade. This is where you step up to the plate and swing the bat regardless of fear.

Attracting success requires you to show up and do the work. Plain and simple.

It’s not easy but by putting in the effort you increase your chances of obtaining what you want. Along with being your future self and keeping an abundance mindset, you’ll easily begin to attract success.
